Cristina began writing her own music in while studying at Columbia College Chicago. She started to release her own music on streaming platforms in 2019. Cristina took a piano class in college. She began to write her work by ear and composed full length instrumentals.

Mooncess' Musical style can be described as Electronic with Alternative Classical influences.  

She has sang her orginal work at The Harris Theatre for Music and Dance, Chicago Cultural Center and open mics throughout Chicago.

She is currently composing her score for her debut short film Mexica(n), funded by DCASE.
